What other charges will I be charged? How much is the activation fee? Is there any fees or charges I should be aware of?

All prices do not include VAT (Israeli tax 16%) but do include everything else.

There will be no extra fees or charges as our company is committed to providing you with a simple bill.

Extra charges will apply when making a special call (such as 144) or calling to places other then Israel US Canada or UK landlines.

And there is no activation charge no extra fees or surcharges.

Can I receive bills in Shekels, Euros, etc.?

You can receive your bill on a different currency as you wish and it will be calculated according to the Israel Bank's exchange rate plus 8.5%

How does insurance work?

You can choose to pay and aditional 50 cents a day to be covered in any case when your phone will be lost or stolen you will pay the diductible only ($49.99 for a regular phone or more for a smart phone depends on the phone model).

What will be all the charges when renting a phone for less than a month?

When renting a phone for less than a month the price is $1 a day and 21 cents a minute flat for all phone calls made within Israel or to the US & Canada or UK landlines, no other charges and fees.

Are there better rates when renting a phone for more than a month?

Renting a phone for more than a month will cost $15 per month, 15 cents a minute flat rate for all phone calls made within Israel or to the US & Canada or UK landlines, no other charges and fees.

If I rent more than one cell phone can I get any special discount?

If you rent two phones or more for longer than a week you can get a special deal please contact us to find the best deal which will fit your needs.

How much does it costs to text a message?

Text message within Israel costs only 21 cents, Throughout the world costs $0.99 (Packages are availeble).

What is the cheapest rental fee per month for a simple phone?

You can bring your own cell phone and pay only $15 per month no extra fees.

Is it smarter to buy or to rent a phone? How much is that?

Renting cell phone means that you don't get to have the phone for yourself when you go back home. However we will provide insurance on the phone.

Buying the cell phone means that the phone is yours however no insurance is provided.

Do I need to pay any rental if I get just a SIM card?

Yes 50 cents per day, we do not charge any monthly rental or any charges like activation fee

Is insurance a separate cost? How much is it?

Yes insurance is a separate cost and you don't have to have it, the price is 50 cents per day for the simple phones.

Does your pay as you talk plan have a minimum usage?

Nope.

I sometimes travel to the states, can I turn off my contract and not be billed except for usage?

Is there a fee if I cancel a contract early?

Nope, no extra fees or surcharges at HolyPhone.

Can I get any specials if I sign with a group of friends?

There are individual fares for group purchases, please contact customer service for details

I don't have a credit card, Can you send me a bill each month?

The best way is to use a credit card or even debit card, If you don't have one then you can deposit $350 security fully refundable and send a check every month after you receive the bill by email.

How do i dial out of the country? how does it work?

Calls to international numbers are simple, just dial 00 followed by the area code and the number (i.e. 00-1-234-567-8900).

Is there any way for me to check my minutes used?

You can call and ask us to send you updates whenever you would like to check your account.

Can I get an American Number on my phone? How does that work?

You can get a local US number  that will ring on your phone, Its a virtual US number that is forwarded to you Israeli cell phone. Click here for more details

How does it work- general.

What are the logistics of paying for the calls? Do I have to prepay?

When ordering your phone, you have to sign a contract with your credit card information, and fax it to our office. We will email you an invoice with all prepaid plans (If applies) you chosed and will charge your card for that, also we will "hold" a $200 security on your credit card which we will reliese after we have charged your final bill. When the phone is returned to us in good working condition we will send you your final bill and charge your card after a week.

What are the logistics of picking up and returning the phones? Would you deliver them to our hotel? Could you pick them up from our hotel?

We can deliver the phone with a messenger to any place within Israel or to your home in the US. The charge for delivery anywhere in Israel will cost you $14.90. Delivery to the US with advanced noticed will cost you $9.90.

How do I dial to the US, Canada or UK?

To dial out of the country is simple, just dial 00 before the area code and the phone number (00-area code-phone number. I.e. 00-1-718-123-4567 )

The rates for calling throughout the country are only when following the calling directions.

What should I do if I can’t find my phone and it may have been lost or stolen?

If your phone is stolen or lost, you must immediately call 1-800-052-052 to report the stolen or lost phone as you are responsible for all calls and any usage of the phone by any party until the equipment or SIM card is returned.

You should also contact Holyland Phone to report it and to get a new phone sent to you right away.

I have a cell phone from a different company. Can I use it with your SIM card?

If your cell phone is unlocked or you purchased your phone at Cellcom then yes, in all other cases you will need to unlock it.

Do your phones work every where? How would i know that I'll have good reception everywhere?.

You will be using a Cellcom network and SIM card , Cellcom is the largest cell phone company in Israel with the best reception rated in Israel, so you are in good hands.

Can I buy a phone if I do not sign a contract for 10 months?

Yes, although there are discounts on the cell phones if signing a 10 months contract, take a look at our prices here

What is WAP and what is GPRS?

WAP displays and access the Internet using micro browsers--browsers with small file sizes that can accommodate the low memory constraints of handheld devices and the low-bandwidth constraints of a wireless-handheld network.

GPRS is what you use to access regular websites on your mobile phone

The different between those two is that WAP uses very little amount of bites so you can have a chieper internet package although you will not be able to see a lot of the websites on a proper view. GPRS will be a normal internet view although you will need to use a lot of bites on every page you visit on-line.
